An Orlando federal jury has convicted two men of armed robbery for beating a customer with a hammer while stealing 100 pieces of gold and jewelry plus cash from an Apopka pawn shop, according to prosecutors.One of the men, Linell Devon Lowe, 22, pointed a gun at the store's manager and stole money from cash registers, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.The other man, Latavis Deyonta Mackroy, 20, was armed with a hammer and hit a customer with it several times while stealing about 100 pieces of gold and diamond jewelry, the office reported.RelatedPublix promises: No more lightweight chickensTopicsTheftCrimeApopkaMapsOrlando, FL, USAThe robbery was at Value Pawn and Jewelry in Apopka May 23.Both men face a minimum sentence of seven years in prison for using a firearm during a robbery.
