MANCHESTER — Two armed thieves robbed a Center Street pawn shop Thursday morning, pistol-whipping one worker, police said.Police responded at about 10 a.m. to Silk City Exchange at 634 Center St., where they found the robbers had stolen an undisclosed amount of money from a safe, police said.
Armed with handguns, the two men entered the store as workers opened for business. One of the robbers pistol-whipped a female employee, police spokesman Capt. Christopher Davis said."Apparently, she wasn't moving fast enough for them," Davis said.
After taking the money, the robbers tied up the woman and her male coworker and fled on foot down Olcott Street, police said. The workers managed to free themselves and call police, Davis said.
